It is with immense sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Kartar Kaur Jassar (w/o late Gurdev Singh Jassar) on April 26, 2018 in Duncan, B.C.
She was born on January 9th 1929 in Haakumwala, Punjab, and immigrated to Canada in 1972.
She leaves behind her 3 sons Sukhvinder, Harbhajan, and Gurbhajan. 2 daughters Balvinder and Surinder, 14 grand-kids, 15 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.
Kartar was a selfless, humble, and affectionate mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.
She will be remembered for her beautiful smile, her vibrant personality and the endless amount of love that she had for her family; she will be missed by all those who were fortunate enough to know her.
A very special thank you to Dr. Mark Sanders, the staff on the 2nd floor of CDH and Cowichan Home support staff for all of their compassion and care.
Funeral services will be held at H.W. Wallace Cremation and Burial Centre on Sunday, May 6th 2018 at 11:00 am followed by a prayer service at the Duncan Sikh Temple.
