In loving memory ~

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our mom and wife Linda after a 4-year battle with brain cancer. Linda leaves behind her loving husband Eric of 44 years, son Jonathan, grandson Lukas, family in Nova Scotia and friends and family here in BC who will miss her and feel her loss every day. She was predeceased by her mom Jean Horne (2010), brother Darrell Horne (2017) and daughter Alexandria (2025).

Linda was so proud of her family and treasured the time she spent with them. She was very proud of everything they accomplished including receiving a Master's Degree in Library Sciences by her daughter Ali and of her son, Jon, establishing and running his own very successful flooring business. Her grandson Lukas gave her a lot of joy and she loved his visits. His Nana will be missed.

Linda worked at Vancouver Island Health for 17 years as a Lab Assistant before retiring in 2018. Many years before that she worked at TD Bank straight out of school in Halifax, NS. Moving with her family from NS to Vancouver Island in 1993 agreed with her and she spent the rest of her life living on the family farm in Cobble Hill, BC raising kids and animals and growing in her garden. In her later years, Linda discovered that she had a talent for oil painting that quickly evolved into a part-time business and her paintings found many homes throughout the US and Canada.

In later life, Linda enjoyed camping with her husband, Eric, all over Vancouver Island. Together they enjoyed so many adventures and many boat trips to the Sunshine Coast and throughout the Gulf Islands. She was always so happy to be on the water with Eric by her side. She also enjoyed kayaking in her inflatable around the lakes and shores of the Island and in later life exploring on her electric bike.

Linda was very loyal to those lucky enough to call her a friend and was always available to do adventures with a friend or just a walk and a talk. She will be missed and always remembered.

There is no service by request. There will be a family gathering to remember her life at a later date.
