Lorraine was born in Qu'Appelle Saskatchewan August 11th, 1957. Lorraine passed peacefully at home on New Year's Day. Lorraine was predeceased by her father Alexander Francis Haughian and survived by her mother Hazel, husband Mike, two brothers Tim and Rob, sister Kathy and their families.
Lorraine grew up in Qu'Appelle, a farm girl and a Saskatchewan Roughrider fan. Shortly after graduating she moved to Vancouver Island and started working for the federal government and 37 years later into retirement.
Throughout Lorraine's lifetime she had many step-children and grandchildren, she loved them all like they were her own. Lorraine was very active in the curling community and competitive curling. She was a huge supporter of youth curling. Whether it was reading a book, travelling, curling or spending time with family and friends, Lorraine loved life. She was always devoted to her church whether it was singing in the church choir, being their treasurer and especially taking her aunt Alice to church each Sunday, God Bless.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, January 12, 2019, 1 pm to 3 pm at Kerry Park Curling Centre, 1035 Shawnigan-Mill Bay Road, Mill Bay BC. In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to support Kerry Park Junior Curling. Another Celebration of Life will be held in Qu'Appelle at a later date.
