(Red) Lorraine Mary Waterman Gent (Essery)

January 28, 1943 - June 29, 2018

It is with great sadness that we announce that Lorraine Gent passed away at home with her family by her side on June 29, 2018. Leaving behind her beloved husband Rob Gent; brother Fred Essery and his wife Daisy; her sons Richard Gent and wife Sara Green, Trevor and Debbie Gent and Darcy and Kimberley Gent; her grandchildren Brandon, Tisha, Cody, Kimberley, Owen and Erika; extended grandchildren Kelsey and Brianna; great grandchildren Ciaran, Isley, Clark and also expected in August, Vienna Lorraine; along with many nieces and nephews.

Lorraine was in Cross Country Dancers for years and enjoyed line dancing. She was an avid Blue Jays' fan. If you knew Lorraine she could be heard miles away routing for her Blue Jays. She was in the Army in her younger years at Bay Street Armories.

Lorraine loved her family more than anything and gatherings with them all, as well as many countless friends that were family to her and Rob. Lorraine will be dearly missed and never forgotten; a true angel gone way too soon. She touched many people's hearts. With tears in our eyes we say "until we see you again, we love you and miss you."

We would also like to send our deepest thanks for all the support and love shown by Lorraine's family doctor, Dr. Szabo, for taking her personal time to come to see mom in her home. Thanks for all her support, as well as Dr. Musuda and Dr. Brooks.

There will be no service. The family will be having a private tea.

Lorraine Gent...

A wife, a mother, a granny too.

This is the legacy we have from you.

You taught us love and how to fight,

You gave us strength, you gave us might.

A stronger person would be hard to find.

And in your heart, you were always kind.

You fought for us all in one way or another,

Not just as a wife, not just as a mother.

For all of us you gave your best.

Now the time has come for you to rest.

So go in peace, you've earned your sleep.

Your love in our hearts, we'll eternally keep.

A beautiful woman inside and out.

All of us will remember your sense of humour until the end, all the fun times and laughter.
