It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Lucille Biggs after a short illness in Hamilton, Ontario. Predeceased by her husband John Jury – the father of their three children Juanita Phillips (Gary Toth), Dean Jury (Rhonda Jury) and Sherri Jury. Their reunion brings great comfort to the family.
She leaves behind her siblings: Rene Bergeron, Joe Bergeron, Dianne Scott, Anita Bazley and Yvette Bergeron.
A beloved Daughter/Sister/Aunt/Cousin/Mother/Grandmother/Great Grandmother and Friend – She will be missed by all.
Lucille had a fantastic sense of humour, she loved playing softball & enjoyed many outdoor activities.
The final months of her life she enjoyed time with her love bird, Cheeky, exploring her new surroundings in Ontario and meeting many wonderful friends. Lucille grew up in Manitoba and moved to Southern Interior of B.C. as a teenager where she met her true love John Jury, settled in Midway, where she raised her three children. She later moved to Kitimat and Prince Rupert before settling in the Cowichan Valley where she operated Triangle Esso, then worked for several years at Wal-Mart.
In lieu of flowers we ask that donations be made in her memory to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada or to the Mark Preece Family House, Hamilton, Ontario.
