Gertrude, Ester, Lynn Collins
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of this "one of a kind woman". Lynn was born in Corner Brook, NFLD. and moved with her family to Duncan in 1964.
She was predeceased by her brother Dick and her parents Herbert & Dorothy Collins and her husband, Bob (Botting).
Lynn was an avid gardener, loved her bingo & her music, old movies & lots of laughter. She was a great baker & a lover of her hats. She looked so great in them all!!!!
Lynn & Eldon (the love of her life) spent many years fishing on the west coast on their boat, Comfortably Numb. They made many good friends on all of their adventures.
As someone told us, "Lynn wasn't the "life of the party"... she "was" the party. She called herself "The Mayor of Royston".
Lynn will be so greatly missed by her husband, Eldon (Eckroth), her son, Richard (Braithwaite), daughter, Gina (Malones), grandsons, Trevor & Calvin. Her siblings, Dianne (Peter), Bill (Lorraine), Joan (Kelvin), Judy, Dennis (Susan), & David. Numerous nieces & nephews & cousins.
We will all gather in the spring in her beautiful garden to toast a cheer of red in her honor.
To quote her nephew, "we hope they have thick skin & a good sense of humour in Wonderland, where Lynn said she was going, and, as she wanted, she went out with her boots on.
Rest in Pease our amazing Lynn
