June 14, 1915 - January 21, 2019
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother. Predeceased by husband, John in 1999, also siblings Jack, Molly, Ella and James all from the U.K. Rachel is survived by her son John (Linda): Granddaughters Heather, Tracey (Doug) and Grandson Keith (Vanessa): Great Grandchildren Lindsay, Ryne, Sydney, Rachel, Riley and Connor.
She was born in Aberdeen Scotland in 1915, and after marrying husband John in 1938, son John was born in 1940. The family emigrated to Ocean Falls, BC in 1951 where husband John worked at the Crown Zellerbach paper mill there.
Mom worked in retail all her working life and eventually retired to Victoria and then Duncan to be closer to her family.
She will be missed. No service by request. Donations can be made to Cowichan Hospice on her behalf.
