Feb 6, 1952 - Dec 11, 2017
Marina passed away in the early evening of December 11th, succumbing to a cancer that was diagnosed just 5 weeks before. Marina was a selfless woman who brought light and joy to every person that she crossed paths with. She left this world too soon and will be missed tremendously.

After starting her schooling at Queen Margaret's, she switched to the public schools and graduated from Cowichan Secondary, class of 1970. She worked in retail while raising her family until the year 2000. She was the glue that held us all together as her children grew up and grandchildren came along. We will be eternally grateful for everything that she did for us.

She was preceded by her father, Sucha Singh, and survived by her mother Sarjit Kaur Manhas; her husband Wayne Loutet; brothers Kully Manhas, Gurmail Manhas; sister Janak Manhas; son Sunneil (Sunny) Parmar (Linda); daughter Pamela Loutet; granddaughters Julia Parmar and Emily Parmar; and two watchcats, Tessly and Kahui.

Marina had an exuberant and loving presence that will live on through the heart and eyes of those that loved her most. The grief of her loss will weigh heavily on us, but the beauty in that is that deep grief can only be caused by a pure, unconditional, infinite kind of love. The kind of love that never dies.

We would like to express our deepest gratitude to the Victoria Hospice and the Doctors and staff at the Royal Jubilee Hospital for ensuring that Marina felt supported and well taken care of during her final month with us.

Also a huge thank you to Dr. J. Fuchs and the staff at Beverly Medical Clinic in Duncan for the many years of help that you gave Marina.

A celebration of her life will take place at the Ramada Inn, in Duncan, on December 30th at 1:00 PM.
