Marion Beryl Whitaker, 91, of Chemainus BC passed peacefully at dawn on May 9, 2017, to the accompaniment of birdsong. She lived her last days, as she lived all her days, with grace and gratitude.
Born December 26, 1925, in Lancashire, England, she lived a full and happy life with her beloved husband, Alan, who predeceased her in 2012. She will be best remembered by all who loved her for her wit and humour, her enormous love for family and friends, and for the joy she experienced gardening, travelling and being on the ocean.
She leaves to mourn her 4 children, 7 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, her loyal companion, Baxter, and many, many dear friends.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Dr. Manhas, for his kind and considerate care, and also the many friends who supported her in her final days.
No service, by request, however a gathering to remember and celebrate her life will be held in August. Details will follow.
