Marjorie Louva Lyon (nee McLean) passed away peacefully September 24th, 2017 at the age of 104.

Born in Edmonton on May 14, 1913 to Harry and Louva McLean, Majorie was the eldest of six children.

Marjorie is survived by her sisters Edith Anderson (Airdrie, AB) and Joyce Stannard (Ladysmith, BC), and brother Keith McLean (Calgary, AB).

Upon retirement, Marjorie settled on Vancouver Island. Marjorie enjoyed travelling, particularly cruising. Hawaii was a favourite winter home.

She enjoyed painting from an early age through her retirement. Through her painting and donations, wildlife advocacy was important to Marjorie. Marjorie’s recent donation to the Vancouver Island Mountain Air Rescue Society funded a rehabilitation flight building for recovering wild birds.
