In loving memory ~

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Marj Wrigglesworth who, at 88 years young, is now reunited with the love of her life Ed, AKA Pops.

After meeting in Pincher Creek, Alberta and falling fast in love, Ed and Marj started their life together by riding West on Pops' motorcycle.

For "Nan", the family has always come first. The couple's two sons, Gene and Wayne, and the sports they played in the Cowichan Valley filled their days (and weekends) with joy.

When not at the ball field or hockey arena making lifelong friends, Nan could be found gardening, knitting, quilting, or making ceramics for loved ones.

"Nannie" loved the additions of her daughters-in-law, Kathy and Annie. Then the expansion of the family with her three granddaughters, Brandie (Jeff), Lyndsey (Kevin), and Jackie (Bas), and the unwavering love and pride she held for them. Becoming a great-grandmother to Jozie, Tizita, Skyla, and Bedilu was the icing on the cake. Over the years you could always find a family dog by Nan's side (and a dog biscuit in her pocket).

Marjorie was the youngest of 10 siblings and had countless nieces and nephews whom she always remained in close contact with and bragged about often.

Nan was the world's best storyteller, with the most incredible memory. Her family will forever honour her wonderful humour, wisdom, and gentle spirit.

Our sweet Nannie will always be remembered for fiercely caring for others more than herself, which she did until the end.

Her family would like to thank Abbeyfield House for providing her with such comfort, support and community.

By request, there will be no service. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the BC S.P.C.A or Abbeyfield House Duncan.
