March 23, 1940 - July 9, 2018
With heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Marvin Moore on July 9, 2018 with his family at his side. Marvin will be remembered as the beloved husband of Shirley (nee Reason), beloved father of Darren (Suzanne) and Leanne (Michael) Trevorrow and beloved grandpa of Kendra Moore, Michelle Spooner, Jorden Moore, Robyn Trevorrow and Rory Trevorrow.
Marvin is also survived by his brother Arthur Moore and his two daughters.
Marvin was raised in Victoria where he met Shirley in 1960 and they married in 1963. The great outdoors was Marvin's favorite place, enjoying the peace of the woods while hunting, boating, fishing.
A forty-two-year resident of Chemainus, Marvin cherished time with his family at their Fuller Lake home. After retiring from a successful career as Comptroller at the Crofton Pulp and Paper Mill, he discovered a new passion for gold-panning. He also appreciated travelling extensively with Shirley and particularly enjoyed their Serengeti safari.
Our family wishes to thank Dr. Archdekin and the many others from the medical field for their excellent care. We also thank all our friends and neighbours for their incredible kindnesses and support.
Marvin will be sadly missed by his family, new friends and long-time friends. At Marvin's request no services will be held.
Memorial donations in Marvin's memory may be made to the BC Cancer Foundation, the Canadian Wildlife Federation or a charity of your choice.
