We are sad to announce that Melanie passed away at the Cowichan District Hospital on July 11 after a brief illness. We would like to express our deep gratitude to the staff of the ER, 2nd Floor and ICU for their kind and special care of Melanie.
A special thank you to Dr. T Rimmer, Dr. C Morris and all the consulting doctors. Your compassion and kindness was so appreciated. Thank you to our wonderful friends for the kindness and concern shown for our family. And a special thank you family that travelled from Boston and LA to be with us.
Our hearts are broken but we will remember Melanie's gentle soul and the happy times we shared. Melanie showed exceptional courage, grace, humour and concern for her loved ones during her difficult time.
At Melanie's request a private Memorial Tea was held at Sands Funeral Home on July 21st.
