Apr 8, 1994 - May 8, 2018
It is with profound sadness and disbelief that we announce the passing of our son Michael Sherman on May 8, 2018 at the age of 24 to a tragic off-road vehicle accident.

Michael was born to proud parents Kim (Gallop) and Jeff Sherman at Vancouver Children's Hospital on April 8, 1994, weighing only 2 lbs 8oz alongside his older twin sister Melissa Sherman. The twins were 3 months premature and they were the true term of "miracle babies". He learned to be a fighter at a young age and gave life 100%, therefore he excelled and succeeded in all aspects of it.

In the year 2000, the family moved from Surrey to the small town of Crofton, BC and this is when Mike began his love for dirt biking and the great outdoors, where many mountain memories were made. You could always find Mike on the trails in the forest looking for his next journey.

As a youngster Mike was very busy, energetic, funny and quite the little daredevil, whether he was landing from a jump on his dirt bike, 4x4ing or hiking in the woods, he loved the adrenaline rush of the thrill.

Mike, you were so very special to so many throughout your lifetime and life's journeys, you left an impression on all who were fortunate enough to cross your path. You were a young man who greatly valued his freedom, not just for himself, but for everyone. Mike had the kindest of hearts and his caring soul made those around him feel better.

Mike is lovingly remembered by his parents Kim and Jeff Sherman, his twin sister Melissa Sherman (Jason Bagnall), his half brother Travis Sherman, Darla Chippett, grandparents Pat and Graydon Gallop, as well as Irma and Mike Larose, his aunt and uncle Joey and Sancha Sherman, as well as cousins; Atira Sherman, Kevin Gallop, Tracy Gallop, Jasxe Gallop and Sassy Gallop.

A celebration of life will be held at 2 pm on Saturday May 26, 2018 at HW Wallace Cremation and Burial Centre - 5285 Polkey Road - Duncan, BC.

The family wishes for donations in Mike's memory to the Vancouver Island Motocross Association.
