It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden and peaceful passing of Mike McCulloch on July 7, 2022. Mike is survived by his Mother Nancy McCulloch, Siblings: Sue Kelly (John), John McCulloch (Terri), Steve McCulloch (Pam), Ian McCulloch (Karna).
McCulloch nieces and nephews: Alex (Rosie), Jane, Emma (Hamish), Caity (Terry), Cam (Shae) Nenagh, Aiden, Reice and Mattie.
Kelly nieces and nephews: Peter (Steph), Mike (Asha), Meghan (Shane), Great nieces and nephews: Jake, Evelyn, Cullen, Farleigh, Isla and Neelah.
He was preceded in death by his Father Peter, birth Mom Noreen, Auntie Ann Evans, Uncle Paul Briggs and Uncle Barry Briggs.
Mike was born on March 4, 1957 at King's Daughters' Hospital in Duncan and has stayed in the Cowichan Valley his entire Life. He was very well known in the valley, meeting and chatting with people while delivering the News Leader and Pictorial papers in downtown Duncan for about 25 years.
Mike was a treasured soul who was very involved with the Clements Centre Society who supported him with skills' development and exciting social activities. He enjoyed his involvement in cooking classes, Special Olympics, Soccer and Bowling. He also had a huge interest in our growing families, other people and their growing families, current events, politics and food......he loved food. He had an incredible memory for names and phone numbers.
He was very much loved by family and friends and will be sorely missed.
Due to covid concerns the family have requested your understanding in not having a gathering but have instead encouraged everyone to post all your thoughts, condolences, hopes and wishes and stories to the First Memorial website.
