In loving memory ~
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Muriel.
Muriel Eileen was born May 19th, 1942 at the King's Daughters Hospital in Duncan BC, to her Mother Marion "Agnes" Reid Pywell and Father Reginald Ernest Edward Pywell.
Muriel was a loving eldest sister to Mervin (Barb), Wayne, Rena (Reinhard), Nelda (Doug), Patsy, Brent (Teresa), Jamie (Tony) and Tyler. Many of her fondest memories include her childhood, as she had many special stories about each of them. She also had so much love for her Nieces and Nephews, Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
Muriel married Larry Allistair James on October 23rd, 1964. They raised their beautiful family, Tracy Ann, Stacy Kim, Clifford (Marilyn), Wendy (Brad) and Samantha (Dave) in the small community of Glenora on the family farm. Raising her family and watching them become who they are today was the greatest joy of her life, she was so proud of them all. She would reflect on happy family memories every moment that she could and always shined so bright whenever she was around them.
Muriel was a devoted and loving Grandmother. All of her grandchildren, Christopher, Anthony, Chantelle (Kirk/Kirt), Rachel, David, Heather, Cameron, Joshua and Jacob brought her so much happiness. Her family was her entire world and she loved each of them with her whole heart.
Larry and Muriel were married for 32 years. Within this time, Muriel grew a strong love for all of Larry's family members. She created many wonderful memories with the James family and cared about them all deeply. We would like to extend much gratitude to Aunty Pud and Aunty Linda for all of their special visits.
She found beauty in everything around her and was always kind and generous to others. Aside from sharing time with loved ones and reflecting on stories of the past, Muriel loved to garden, paint & sketch, collect family photographs, birdwatch, drive the backroads enjoying the countryside farm scenery and spending time at the ocean.
Muriel (Mom/ Granma) is such a treasure of our family and she will be greatly missed. We will carry her love, her laughter and her memories with us always.
There will be a celebration of life honouring her on Sunday, May 11th from 1:00pm - 4:00pm at The Glenora Hall. Please join us to celebrate her beautiful life.
Our family would like to thank Dr Sanders for all of his care throughout the years. Another special thank you to the staff and residents at Ts'i'ts'uwatul' Lelum Assisted Living and Cowichan Hospice House. We appreciate you all.
With love,
The Family
