In Loving Memory ~
After a short and courageous battle with AML cancer, Pat passed away peacefully on the evening of December 1st, with family by her side. She was so brave and knew the cancer was winning the battle and chose to take her last breath on her terms, utilizing MAID.
Pat was born in Terrace, BC on May 4th, 1951 to Douglas and Dorothy Kenney.
She will be lovingly remembered by her sister and brother-in-law Becky and Don Bruce, sister Debbie and brother and sister-in-law Klaas and Siepie Van Der Eems.
She loved being Auntie Trish to Dean, Laurie, Caitlyn, Danny, Isaac, Tara, Darryl, Stephen, Kyla, Jaylen, Declan, Corrine, Zak, Alivia, Trentin, and Mark as well as many others who knew her as Auntie Trish.
Pat was very loyal and had a heart bigger than life. She loved social outings and family and friends meant everything to her, she would do anything for those she loved. There are many friends that she considered family and they will miss her dearly.
Pat's first job was in 1968 at Woolworths in Terrace. It was a career that lasted for 46 years. Retirement wasn't for Pat and it wasn't long before she was once again working, this time, as a dispatcher for Bin There Dump That. It was the perfect job for her as she loved talking on the phone.
Pat loved curling and enjoyed many bonspiels with her girls as well as Tuesday ladies' night on the golf course. She frequented the casino and we always heard about her wins!
Pat's favourite place to be was the beach. She loved the sun and sand and always said the sun was better at the beach. Above all, she loved spending time with her family and friends.
A celebration of Pat's life will be held at a later date.
