January 8, 1966 - July 4, 2024

In loving memory ~

On July 4th, 2024 the world lost a most special soul but gained a most beautiful angel. Pavlina Brusova (Cole) passed at Hospice in Kamloops after a long battle with post-cancer surgery complications. She passed away peacefully with her partner, Wayne Krueger, at her side.

Pavlina fought her cancer battle hard and was actually cleared cancer-free for the past year but after a gruelling surgery to remove the mass she was faced with never-ending complications that unfortunately took her life. Pavlina is survived by her partner of 17 years, Wayne Krueger, her daughter Chelsea Cole and son Cody Cole (Kailley Dodge). Pavlina is also survived by her mother Marie Brusova, father Frank Brus, sister Jitka Johannsen (Kim, Kyle and Erik Johannsen) and her twin brother Peter Brus. Pavlina had 3 beautiful grandchildren whom she adored and loved so dearly, Eva Pavlina Hughes, Kinsley Ann Marie Cole and Freya Jillian Wilson.

Pavlina was born on January 8, 1966, in Novy Jicin, Czechoslovakia. Her family moved to Canada with her family in 1968 and she grew up in New Westminster, BC where she graduated from NWSS. She moved to Duncan in 2001 where she then became a real estate agent, working for Johannsen Group Realty and then in 2009 moved to 100 Mile House after meeting the love of her life, Wayne. She worked 10 years for Remax 100 Mile. Her dedicated work ethic and ability to always help others with grace, patience and professionalism will always be remembered by many.

Pavlina and Wayne enjoyed golfing and fishing on the South Thompson River and purchased a vacation home in Kamloops. After Pavlina was diagnosed with stage lll lung cancer and spent months in Kelowna for treatments and procedures, they relocated mostly to Kamloops as their full-time residence to be close to hospitals and care facilities.

Pavlina was beautiful, vibrant and passionate. Her energy and smile could lift any room she entered, often having strangers tell her she had an infectious aura and presence about her. Pavlina also became a proud grandmother in the summer of 2023, welcoming 2 grandchildren into the world.

We are all extremely thankful to Wayne for what he did for her as a caregiver for the last two years of her life. Pavlina will be so deeply missed by all who knew her.

A celebration of life will be held at Mason Kitchen at Sun Rivers Golf Course (Big Horn) in Kamloops, BC on August 17th from 1-4 pm.
