Pete passed away peacefully with his family by his side. He leaves behind his partner Maude; his sons: Calvin (Marion), Tom and Dennis, many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
As orphans, Pete and his brother Don (deceased), along with 26 other children left England and boarded the vessel, Aquitania, arriving in Canada on May 31, 1947. They traveled by rail across country, their destination was The Fairbridge Farm School in Duncan, BC.
Pete worked in the Lumber Industry up and down Vancouver Island. He was an avid sportsmen, excelling in boxing, bowling, fishing and hunting. He also walked or exercised daily.
We are grateful for the kindness Pete received from the nursing staff at C.D.H. In particular our thanks to Jeff, Colette, Tina and Jeanette.
Please join us for a celebration of Pete's life on Sunday, August 19th, at 2:00 pm at the Anglican Church of St. John the Baptist, 3295 Cobble Hill Rd, Cobble Hill, BC.
