With great sorrow and a breaking heart I have to tell you of the passing of my husband Ray Goslin of Shawnigan Lake, he was 88. On Saturday, May 22 while holding my hand he closed his eyes letting the pain go.

Ray was born and spent his younger years in Toronto. He married his first love Beverly and had three beautiful daughters, Sandra, Laura and Marilyn. As a young electrician Ray worked on the Dewline up north, he was very proud of that. He moved to Bracebridge, built a home, founded Bracebridge Rent-All in 1967 until it sold in 1986. Ray and his wife Delores James moved to Vancouver Island, bought and operated Seaview Marine Resort in Saltair until Delores passed in 2007. It was the ideal location for a former boater and sailor.

Devine Intervention brought Ray and I together in 2011. We shared a great love. Ray loved his workshop where he spent hours tinkering while music blasted, loved RVing, loved travel but his biggest love was animals. Dogs, rabbit, deer, raccoons and even bear were welcome by our home.

Ray will be dearly missed by his three daughters, three grandchildren and one great grandchild. His extended family, Velda, Adora and Wilfred, all of whom loved him dearly, his dear friends,Ed. Rob, Lynn, Greta, Ferg, Currie, Hollis and Greg. The Newfoundland Club of Victoria will miss his humour and willingness to help.

Joan (Brampton), Susan (Millerville). Cremation has taken place and his ashes will be placed under a dogwood tree as he requested. Celebration of Life will take place at the Cobblestone when Covid restrictions are lifted.

You will never be forgotten my "Ray of Sunshine."

Rest in peace my darling. I will meet you on the far side banks of Jordan.
