Ray as his friends called him, passed away on January 10, 2018 at the age of 85, peacefully in his home surrounded by family.
Born in England, May 28, 1932, Ray was raised by his Aunt Jess and Uncle Bill and was an avid soccer and cricket player. After completion of school, he worked for Loyds Bank where he met the love of his life, June. They married on April 6, 1957 and travelled to Vancouver to persue their dream of having a family and home in Canada.
Ray continued working in banking, transferring from Vancouver to various locations in Alberta, where they raised their 4 children, ending his career in Calgary. Ray and June, decided they needed a new adventure, so the two moved Vancouver Island where they created a fun filled life.
Ray touched many people through his strength of character, integrity, story telling, love of laughter, and passion for life.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his 4 children and spouses; Tim (Nancy), Wendy (Jamall), Martin (Leslie), Raymond Jr, 7 grandchildren (Sarah, Becca, Salim, Lindsey, Taylor, Riley and Katie), his sister Brenda (John) (England), sister in law Shirley (England), sister in law Carol (Chris) (Australia), and a host of loving friends.
No service will be held; the family will hold an open house in Ray's home, 6031 Sterling Drive, Duncan on February 3rd, 2018, 2:00 - 5:30 to honour Ray's amazing LIFE.
