In loving memory ~
Reginald Garry Lowery, 77, of Duncan, B.C. passed away at home on January 18th, 2023.
Garry was born in Duncan, B.C. on November 6th, 1945 to Olga and Irven Lowery. He attended BCIT trade school and began his career as a welder/fabricator. In the 70's he became a partner in Cowichan Rentals Ltd. and ran the day-to-day operations for more than 20 years. Once he moved on from there, he returned to welding, fabricating and mechanical repair before retiring.
All this time spent working really messed with his golf schedule which he happily made up for during his retirement as a player and board member of Mount Brenton Golf Club as well as spending 10 winters travelling with Sandy in their motor home and golfing the desert courses of Arizona and California. He was a long-time member of the Duncan Curling Club, was an avid salmon fisherman, loved spending time with his family at their RV lot in Honeymoon Bay and for the last 12 years, absolutely adored his two granddaughters.
Garry is survived by Sandy, his wife of 49 years; son Michael (Sheri); daughter Christine; his two granddaughters Taylor and Cameron; his twin sister Francis; as well as many nieces and nephews and their families. Garry was predeceased by his brothers Wayne (Freda), Ivan (Karen) and Ken (Heather)
A memorial service, and a chance to share a Crown Royal in his honour, will be held at the family home with a date yet to be determined.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Garry's name to The Clements Center Society in Duncan, B.C.
