Robert is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Margaret, his children Glenn and Ann Armstrong, six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren as well as his faithful dog Abbey.
He was predeceased by his parents Clarence and Louetta (nee: Bartlett).
He was a proud retired captain of the East York Fire Department.
A service was held at H.W. Wallace Cremation and Burial Centre, 5285 Polkey Road, Duncan, BC on Friday, October 6 at 2:00 PM.
