Bob passed away at the Cowichan District Hospital shortly after 3 am on Friday, April 20, 2018.
Bob was predeceased by his father Wally Thorne and mother Elizabeth Thorne. He will be lovingly remembered by his brother Norman Thorne, his nephew Aidan Thorne, the local music community and his friends, many of whom are musicians.
As per Bob's wishes and there will be no formal memorial service.
A "Sing a Song for Bob" event will be held this summer at the Duncan Showroom to honour Bob and pay tribute to his passion for his friends and music. Friends and family will be notified of the date and time.
