born August 28, 1925 near Yarbo, Saskatchewan, died after a brief illness in St. Joesph’s Hospital, Comox, BC early morning July 2, 2016. Mom grew up with 4 brothers and one sister (all predeceased) on the family farm near Yarbo. In 1943 when Mom nished Grade 12 she took a 6 week course on teaching and taught at the school she and her siblings attended 2 1/2 miles from the family farm. After teaching there for one year, she moved on to Glen Ewen where she met our father Neil (deceased August 22, 2015). Mom and Dad moved to Duncan, BC in 1948, eventually purchased 5 acres with a house and raised 2 children. She is survived by her daughter Marilyn (Mike), her son Robin (Elizabeth), four grandchildren and ve great grandchildren. Her care, love, advice and kindness will be greatly missed.
