It is with great sadness the family of Ruth announces her passing on August 25, 2020. She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Edmond Lewis; daughters: Debra Viala (Ronald) and Sharon Viala (John); five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Ruth was born in Prince George and raised in Nanaimo. In 1955 she married Ed. They eventually moved to Lake Cowichan where they raised their family. Ruth was a successful business woman, owning the Jewel Box for over 20 years.
Her passions in life were her family and friends, along with holidaying in sunny destinations. She will always be remembered for her elegance, her dinner parties and her sweet tooth.
The family would like to especially thank Dr. Malherbe for his kindness and CDH and Sunridge staff for their care and compassion.
Due to the Covid conditions, there will be a Celebration of Life at a later date.
