Seymour William Cudby

May 29, 2018

Aug 3, 1926 - May 29, 2018
He was born in Indian Head, Saskatchewan. Seymour had a long and vital life and met each day with his sense of humour, laughter and love of life.

After joining the army at the age of 18, he returned from World War 2 to marry the love of his life, Gladys May Cooper and they were blessed with 72 years of marriage together. Their early years were lived in Saanich, raising their family and after retirement they spent a brief time on Denman Island, before spending the last 25 years in Cobble Hill.

Seymour spent his working life as "Cud" operating Cudby Roofing and made many friends in the construction industry and many more having a beer at the Shawnigan Legion playing pool.

Seymour was predeceased by twin sons Donald and Steven as infants, granddaughter Amy and sister Beth. He leaves his wife Gladys, son Richard (Laurel) of Duncan, daughters Peg Dunaway (Rick) of Campbell River, Cathy Cudby (Joe) of Surrey and Maureen Davidson (Glen) of Duncan, many grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and his sisters Rose and Peggy. We will miss his infectious joy of life.

Arrangements by H.W. Wallace, no service by request. If desired, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
