Sharon Fisher

December 7, 2016

With immense sorrow, we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of our most precious Sharon.

Pre-deceased by her husband, Don and one of her two cherished sons, Russell, she leaves behind to mourn her: son, Mark (Marilyn), stepson, Ronald (Julie) brother, Jim (Alisa), sister, Katherine (Keith), five wonderful grandchildren, nieces and nephews, cousins, longtime friends and the newest joy in her life, a great-granddaughter.

Sharon was born in Regina, Sask. but was raised in Victoria and Langford before finally settling in the Cowichan Valley. She and Don had a farm there where she was able to put to good stead that immense love she had of animals with many a lamb, calf and kitten having her to thank for its very survival. If you came to her door with four feet, fur or feather, you were pretty much in. Sharon loved her family and nothing was more important to her than all of us. She cared for us, worried about us, counseled, celebrated and supported us and when necessary, lovingly scolded us and we are all so much a better person for having had her in our lives. Did we know how much she loved us all - you bet we did!

Sharon was a wonderful daughter to her mother, Muriel Wilson - all mothers should be so fortunate. She was also a special friend, you could not have known a finer one. Her enjoyment of shopping was epic but so too did she enjoy reading, doing crafts, and gardening but it was her love of learning that brought her such pleasure as she had a quick mind. She will be sorely missed, likely even more than we know as yet, and she shall be always remembered and forever loved.

Private services at a later date. If you so kindly wish, donations may be made in her memory to: Rest Q Animal Sanctuary, S12, C11, RR#1, Galiano Island, BC, V0N 1P0.

“For all of us you gave your best;

go with all our love now to eternal rest”
