It is with great sadness that we have to say goodbye to our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Shona Easson Chalmers. She passed away peacefully in Ladysmith, BC on August 7, 2024, surrounded by her family.
Shona loved life. You could find her knitting, playing badminton (until she was 89), reading or keeping her diary (for as long as we can remember). She belonged to many different groups and was a volunteer at Growing Together Child Care, The Cancer Society, Sunridge, The Theater and Cowichan Exhibition to name a few. Age did not slow her down. If you knew her you knew she was a force to be reckoned with. She will be missed fiercely.
Shona is survived by her son Malcom, daughter Barb, grandchildren: Ashley (Drew), Tara (Kyle), Tyler; and great-grandchildren: Scarlett, Logan, Kennedy and Jax. She is predeceased by her mother Mary, father Robert, husband Malcom, and sister Moria.
All are welcome to Shona's Celebration of Life which will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, September 13, 2024, at Sands Funeral Chapel, 187 Trunk Road, Duncan, BC.
