In loving memory ~
Stanley Lee passed away peacefully on October 11th at the age of 96. A beloved husband, he is survived by his wife, Maria; children John (Miki), Paul (Catherine) and Sandy (David); grandchildren Selena, Yumi, Christian and Graham; and his sister Frances.
Born in China, Stan came to Canada to join his father. He went back to Hong Kong in the 1960's where he met his future wife Maria. Together, they came back to Canada and settled in Duncan and bought Bob's Grill. In the late 70's the family moved to Maple Ridge, but only to come back to Duncan in the 80's to operate the Corner House Cafe, which is now operated by his eldest son and daughter in-law.
Upon retiring, Stan and Maria became avid travelers - covering 5 continents and 5 out of 7 Wonders of the Modern World. He loved to take photos and videos of all the places he visited. And when not traveling, he would be found in the garden at home where he was always proud of his crops he grew.
Although retired, Stan was still seen frequently sitting at the Corner House Cafe chatting with any customers who stopped in for a meal. He will be sorely missed by all but will never be forgotten.
