It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Suzanne Belony (nee Simpson). Suzanne was the cherished wife of Judah (Clive Belony) and the beloved daughter of Christine Simpson. Suzanne was born and educated in Chemainus, BC. Suzanne loved to ride her horses and swim in the ocean.
After Suzanne graduated from high school she moved to Victoria to attend the University of Victoria for a year. In continuing her education Suzanne moved to Toronto while working towards a degree in Social Work. Upon returning to Victoria Suzanne completed a Master’s Degree in Counseling and Psychology. Suzanne worked for the Ministry of Children and Families - Forensics Division since 2008.
Her journeys took her to Grenada where she worked with child welfare. It was in Grenada that Suzanne met the love of her life, Judah whom she married in 2011.
Suzanne is also survived by her brother Robert (Andrea) and nephews (Andrew and Christopher), her sister Julia (Greg) and nieces (Rachel and Brielle).
Suzanne was a shining star to all who knew her and will be greatly missed by those whose life she has touched.
A memorial service in her memory will be held on August 25, 2017 at 4:30pm in the auditorium of the Garth Homer Society at 813 Darwin Avenue, Victoria, BC, V8X 2X7.
