It is with sad hearts we announce the passing of our mother Suzzanne after a short courageous battle with cancer. Mom passed away peacefully at home in Duncan, BC at the young age of 78. She was born and raised in Vancouver, BC and moved to the Cowichan Valley shortly after graduation. Predeceased by her son Ken Doskocil and grandson Robert Newcomb, Suzzanne leaves behind her loving children Cynthia Doskocil (Doug), Correna Lum (Russell), Stella Lum, and George Lum, as well as her grandchildren and her precious great grandchildren, a brother, cousins, and nieces and nephews. Suzzanne cherished her family more than anything and took great joy in being a part of their lives. Suzzanne worked at the Provincial Law Courts for over twenty years before retiring due to health. She took great pride in volunteering at many different events over the years. She loved animals and though she wouldn’t admit it she loved people. All that knew her will miss her wonderful sense of humour. There will be no service by request. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Mom’s name to Cowichan Valley Hospice or Cowichan Cat Rescue.
