Taru immigrated to Canada in October 1964 and lived in Duncan, BC.
He is survived by his loving wife, Harbans Kaur Hayer. He was predeceased by his son Nirmal.
He will be fondly remembered by his children; son, Sukdave and wife Beth; son, Sarb and wife Sarah; daughter Jasbinder and husband Sital.
His pride and joy was his grandchildren Jason, Marcus and fiancée Samantha, Hayden and fiancée Ellen, Neelam, Nirmal and Rajan.
His greatest legacy is his family.
A private service will be held in his honour at HW Wallace Funeral Home.
