In Loving Memory ~
It is with deep sorrow that I announce the passing of Terry Mickelson, on Friday October 25th. Terry passed, after suffering for many years with kidney failure.
Terry was born on March 13th 1945 in Victoria to Ruby and Albert Mickelson. He called himself a convenience baby weighing in at 7lbs 11 oz.
After completing his apprenticeship as an Electronics Technician at CFB Esquimalt, he worked at the Lake Cowichan satellite station until his retirement.
After retirement he took up hobbies of photography, woodworking and teaching computers at a local school. Since 2007 he worked on his house. It was his pride and joy and he loved to host holiday dinners there. He designed the house so he could sit at his computer and look out the front door, the side window and the back yard without having to get up.
He was a gentle giant of a man and he will be greatly missed. His sense of humor stayed with him to the end. Just ask the dialysis nurses about broccoli.
Terry did not want a funeral or service. He said click and you're gone. In lieu of flowers please give a donation to the kidney foundation.
