Thelma Holloway of Duncan, beloved wife of 62 years to Bruce Holloway, passed away peacefully surrounded by family members at the Cowichan District Hospital on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at the age of 79 years.
She is survived by her husband Bruce; children: Larry (Bobbi), Rick (Pamela), Bob (Colleen, deceased), Elaine (Russ); eight grandchildren, and thirteen great grandchildren. She will also be dearly missed by her brother Don (Noni) Woolford, sister Jean Lundquist, and Diane Richter.
Thelma was born in Duncan, BC on February 23, 1939. She and Bruce were married for 62 years. She loved to sew and created many beautiful quilts and other items for her family and friends. Thelma also enjoyed to be outdoors and working in her garden. Thelma will be missed dearly by her family.
Special thank you to the Intensive Care Unit Staff and Doctors of the Cowichan District Hospital for their care. Her most favourite charity was Covenant House, 575 Drake Street, Vancouver BC, V6B 4K8.
In lieu of flowers and if so desired, memorial donations may be made directly to this charity. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at Sands Funeral Chapel, 187 Trunk Road, Duncan, BC.
