July 19, 1934 - April 6, 2018
Thelma was born in Red Deer, Alberta, and was one of four children. She grew up in Vermilion and later married her loving husband, Allan, of 58 years.

Al and Thelma moved to Vancouver Island in 1975 to pursue new adventures on the coast. She was passionate about her banking career, which she continued after relocating to the Island.

Thelma enjoyed travelling to many countries - some of her most memorable experiences included travelling to Tahiti, as well as boating to Alaska and through the Panama Canal.

Travelling aside, Thelma enjoyed gardening, reading and spending time with family and friends. She adored her German Shepherds and loved a good fire.

Her strength, charm, generosity and storytelling will be missed deeply by her family - children, Mark (Olya) and Sandy (Rob), and grandchildren, Jen (Kurt), Doug and Tessa, as well as her great-granddaughter, Scarlett.

It brings us solace to know that Thelma is now reunited with Al and her daughter, Cindy, and they are on to their next journey in the hereafter.

Her family would like to thank the Cancer Clinic, Dr. Gilbert, CDH staff and the London Drugs pharmacists for their sincere help.

Thelma has requested that no service be held.
