January 7, 1933 – December 18, 2019
Tommy Traynor of Duncan, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at the Cowichan District Hospital on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at the age of 86 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his children: Patrick (Gabriella), Kevin (Dianne), Donna (Andrew) Wilkins, Denise Parsons-Traynor; grandchildren: Dayon, Sierra, Thomas, Isabella, Jayden, Kyle, Donald, Kevin as well as by numerous extended family and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Rita Traynor (2009).
Tommy was born in Airdrie Scotland and grew up during the war. In 1957 he immigrated to Canada, settled in Prince Rupert, BC and became a master mason. Later in 1980, Tommy moved to Duncan for his retirement and became a member of the Duncan Lawn Bowling Club. Tommy enjoyed fishing, hunting and playing the bag pipes. A Celebration of Life was held at 1:00 pm on Monday, December 23, 2019 in the Arbor Lounge of Sands Funeral Chapel, 187 Trunk Road, Duncan, BC. Condolences may be offered online at www.sandsduncan.ca.
