Timothy Richard Lord

March 29, 1944 – January 18, 2021
Tim passed away in Thailand in his 76th year. He was born in Stoke-by-Nayland, Suffolk in England in the closing years of World War II. Shortly after completing his teacher training in Sheffield he emigrated to the Cowichan Valley, teaching briefly at Maple Bay, Duncan Elementary Schools, then for many years at Crofton Elementary. He was predeceased by his younger brother Steve in England.
He is survived by brothers Roger in England and Peter. Tim is survived by partner Annie in Thailand
Tim was a talented cricket player, representing BC on a number of occasions and also performed at a high level on both the soccer field and the golf course. He spent many happy and successful hours catching the elusive salmon at Tofino and locally.
After retiring from teaching, Tim spent many Sunny winters in Thailand where he enjoyed life’s challenge of growing the many local fruits and vegetables there.
