Wayne was born and raised in Chemainus. BC.
He grew up with a passion for driving, starting out with an old car he and his friends built, then raced around our back field.
Eventually he moved to Castlegar B.C. where he bought his own Towing Company. Keegs South Country Towing.
Wayne was tragically killed while on the job at an accident scene.
He is survived by his children Dustin Acker (Sherise), Hailey Kernachan (Garrick), and Keegan Kernachan (Shayley).
His mother Hazel Kernachan, sister Kym Whitefield (Sean), brothers Ken (Tami), Mike (Kim). Many Aunties, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
He was predeceased by granddaughter Kristin in 1998 and father Joseph in 2017. A celebration of life will be held in the new year.
