Wayne Arnold Hendricks passed away on August 12, 2022 at Sunridge Place, Duncan, B.C.
He is survived by his loving wife Marjorie, both his daughters Tracey and Gail (Colin) and his four grandchildren, Brendan (Jenn) and Taylor of Duncan, B.C. and Olivia and Sarah from New Zealand.
Wayne was well known in the Cowichan Valley from serving in the Lions Club since 1972 and owning and operating a successful business, Henwood Equipment Ltd. for twenty years. Wayne was fortunate to retire early which allowed him the opportunity to build two family homes and travel across Canada with his family creating everlasting memories. He and his wife Marjorie continued to travel extensively throughout North America in their motorhome for many years together and with friends.
He will always be remembered for his kind, warm heart as a person that was both practical and helpful; a man who gave generously to the community while always putting family first.
A celebration of his life was held in his Duncan home on August 17 attended by family and close friends.
The family would like to thank Dr. A.T. Rimmer for his long caring support and the dedicated service Wayne received at Sunridge Place.
He will be missed dearly although it gives the family strength to know that he did not suffer and is now at peace.
