William passed peacefully in his sleep, into the arms of his Saviour and wife Charlotte. He was a long time resident of Cowichan Station, moving there from Lloydminster at the age of 7.

Dad worked in construction for his entire life and worked building many of the landmarks in Duncan. He went into business for himself and formed Family Pools, turning it into a thriving business for 20 years installing over 100 pools in the valley.

Upon their retirement, Mom and Dad spent many happy years pulling their trailer across Canada, Alaska and the United States. They spent 18 winters at the Fountain of Youth Spa. Dad enjoyed their many cruises with friends and family.

Dad will be sadly missed by his daughters Diane (George), and Doreen (Frank); daughter-in-law Debbie; nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.

Dad was predeceased by wife Charlotte of 74 years, brother Harold; sister Phylis; sons Donald and Allan; and daughter-in-law Pat.

A funeral service will be held at Sands Funeral Chapel, 187 Trunk Road in Duncan on Friday, June 14, 2024 at 2:00 pm with a reception to follow in Sands Arbor Reception Centre. Reverend Dwight Geiger presiding. Memorial Donations in memory of William may be made to a charity of one's choice.
