“Opposition” in parliament is just wrong. All members were elected to represent their riding and to work for the best deal for their riding and the country. The party with the majority will have the controlling vote and it is not the other parliamentarians’ job to try to gain political points by opposing all presentations without considering the value to all citizens.
They, the “opposition”, should make suggestions and amendments to increase the quality of a motion as they are elected to be parliamentary members to help run the country. They were not elected to be name callers trying to embarrass the government for future political gain.
Parliament is parliament and all should work for the good of the country.
