All the facts are true, just a different spin

I am pleased that my letter of Feb. 1 has received such attention.

I am pleased that my letter of Feb. 1 has received such attention. However both Mr. Hazell and Mr. Le Good seem to have missed the point, which was, the media chooses what to report on and what not to report on. Also what facts are twisted and what sort of spin is applied.

I said, "Trump was elected by a large majority by a system that has been in place for over 200 years."

Now we could nit pick what large means, but 306 to 227 electoral college votes and on a county basis 2,900 to 160. Now in comparison to Canada, 60 per cent of the voters didn't vote for the Liberal Party but they still won by a large majority. We have our system, they have theirs, for good or bad. In other words, the popular vote means little in both our systems.

So to compare all our letters, all of our respective facts are true, it is just a matter of the spin that is put on them.
