Bitumen spill would be catastrophic

I live on the coast and I am an avid kayaker. Through my paddling trips along the coast I started appreciating this amazing environment and deeply respect Mother Nature. A spill of toxic bitumen oil is a realistic possibility and no cleanup crew would be able to contain or mitigate the damage to nature.

In relations to First Nations, you have not followed due process, a fact that should be brought to the attention of the United Nations.

I am also very concerned about the damage done to our local tourist and service industry, and the bullying tactics of the companies involved.

I believe that this should be also brought to the attention of Al Jazeera News. It would make a newsworthy story.

Hands off our coast and native lands!
