Indulge me and picture this for a moment… you are awakened from a deep sleep by the spirit of a relative of yours whom you looked up to, and this spirit — like your guardian angel — explains in no uncertain terms, that it is now your time to achieve anything you want, without any chance of failure, and that success will be yours. The admiration and respect of others is coming your way. Your chances of achieving whatever it is you set out to do is 100 per cent guaranteed. All you have to do is start working towards your goal. Every step of the way you will be met with success and achievement. You just have to begin.

How would that be? Basically, you are guaranteed to get whatever it is that you want most. Whether it’s a fulfilling career, dream business, that relationship you always aspired to have, the vehicle from your vision board, lean abs and body, toned muscles, freedom from anxiety and fear, a full bank account and financial freedom. Any and all of it. It’s yours. How does it feel marinating in that feeling? I bet it feels good. I invite you to sit with this good feeling for a few moments. Whatever things come to mind for you from your wish list — stay in that. Immerse yourself in this vision and the associated feelings. Allow the joyful sensations to wash over you.

I’m certain that almost everyone would jump at this chance if it were offered to them. To boldly move toward their dreams, goals, and aspirations with zero fear because they knew they couldn’t fail.

What if this were actually available to you? What if this could be true? Would you want to know how to get it?

Well, as Obi-Wan Kenobi reveals to Luke in Star Wars: Return of the Jedi, just before Luke goes to face Darth Vader, who he has just learned in his father, “So what I told you was true…from a certain point of view.”

I’m sure, by now, you’ve heard several times what the self-help experts suggest about fear. To acknowledge it but move ahead anyway! To instill some courage and boldly move toward and through your fear, within the context and belief that overcoming the fear will get you to where you want to be. A place where you overcome and as a result receive something you’ve always wanted.

The connection here is that if you were to courage-up and overcome that fear that’s been holding you back for so long, with that obstacle that has been in the way (and growing!) for some time, you’ll actually get that treasure you’ve been deeply wishing for. The universe never lets you down when you go for it! You do get what you want. And at least as important, the person you grow into and become in the process is the new, improved version of you…the you who gets what you set out to achieve. A new identity.

And second, if you choose to learn from any mistakes and use any ‘failures’ as teaching moments, you simply ‘fail forward’. With persistence you always achieve what you want. Countless examples prove this to be true. Which means the true failure can’t exist, when learning is taken away and used.

So, from a certain point of view, should you choose to accept it, you truly cannot fail. From this point of view of ‘failing forward’ you learn that the road has bumps but you always move further down that chosen road, and you do what it takes to get what you truly want.

I invite you to come back to the dream sequence above, where your guardian angel shares with you that if you move forward with conviction, you simply cannot fail. If you climb over or go around your fears, and proceed with a thimble full of courage, you’ll get what you want. All you must do is propel yourself forward and you can have it all. You just have to begin.

That feeling you had earlier when you envisioned and sat with having all that you want…Is that feeling strong enough to propel you forward? Are your dreams and goals and a deep sense of fulfillment enough to propel you forward if you knew that your success is guaranteed? All you have to do is begin. Will you begin?
