Dr. Day trying to bring in private U.S.-style health care
There are positive public solutions to surgical wait times that are evidence-based, efficient and safe. Forcing people to pay to get a quicker surgery, will increase wait times for those who rely on the public system, increase costs overall and will result in poorer patient outcomes.
Dr. Brian Day is trying to bring in a system rather like the system in the U.S. where insurance premiums will be unaffordable for many and many poor will be left out. We have good Medicare for all NOW — let’s keep it that way.
