Environmentalists provide barrage of lies

The “Blessed Unrest” is a ridiculous term.
The majority of opposition to our resource development originates from mostly foreign funded NGOs, and are hardly ‘blessed’.
While I can’t speak to the forestry industry, and do support conservation and sustainable development of forests, I strongly oppose the activities of the radical environmental agenda against our vital oil, gas and mining industries. Key facts: (NRC)
• In 2019, Canada’s energy sector directly employed more than 282,000 people and indirectly supported over 550,500 jobs
• Canada’s energy sector accounts for over 10 per cent of nominal Gross Domestic Product (GDP)
• Government revenues from energy were $17.9 billion in 2018
• More than $1.1 billion was spent on energy research, development, and deployment by governments in 2018-19
This agenda, which has been active for over a decade, includes Dogwood, LeadNow, Greenpeace and a host of subsidiaries, is an insidious and dangerous movement that will stop at nothing to further their cause.
In addition to illegal demonstrations as witnessed last fall, they provide a barrage of lies, hysteria, and wild speculation against oil and gas production in various media outlets.
Since their successes with NG and EE projects and the complicity of the federal government, and provincial politicians, some have diverted their funding to political activism.
These promoters of unrest and financial instability are not good for B.C. or the country and must be opposed and not praised.
