How dry is it in Cowichan?

How dry is it? I moved to Cowichan Lake in the summer of 1979 and since then have followed the seasonal rhythms of the lake as it rises and falls. On Aug. 23 this year the lake level was within exactly one inch of being at its lowest point since Oct. 1, 1998 as measured on my flood marker. That’s how dry it is.
