Of course it had to come, the 7.2 per cent, nothing less would do to cover the unknown cost of this new piece of bureaucracy supposedly for (water/housing)? For which I would never condone, no matter what.
From my understanding, the provincial government has more information on this subject yet seems to want to palm this work off to the local districts. Of course it is all about money and convenience but as a rate payer (retired) I among many will have to lump this extra cost from off my pension, which of course will be increased by the feds to offset this additional expense?
The joy of retiring I fear has lost some of its sheen; long gone is that tour to Acapulco or even Vancouver…
