Cowichan hospital staff warm and supportive

Recently, my revered family doctor arranged for a series of hospital tests to diagnose some concerning symptoms. Those tests required visits to the Cowichan District Hospital and, on one occasion, Ladysmith Health Care Centre.

I was reminded again of the warm, supportive world that exists within the Cowichan Valley hospitals. No matter how shaky or frightened or in pain you may be, when you enter those doors you feel the warmth and welcome you can only imagine. The well-trained and caring professionals receive you with kindness and offer the full extent of their skills. And they do all this at a time when hospital staff have been working under continuous pressure and have, on occasions, received hostility from members of the public.

I would like to thank my MD and the many remarkable human beings who make up the healing world inside our Cowichan Valley hospitals.
